Two-and-a-half years since Ibeyi delivered their mesmerizing eponymous debut album in early 2015, the dynamic duo is back with their highly anticipated sophomore set entitled Ash, due to arrive September 29th. Following the previously unveiled lead single “Away Away,” twin sisters Lisa-Kaindé Diaz and Naomi Diaz have shared the video for “Deathless,” which features the expert musicianship of jazz renaissance man Kamasi Washington. Merging sonic inspirations from their Yoruba and French-Cuban heritage with contemporary pop and R&B, the pair’s forthcoming LP promises to expand upon their refreshingly distinctive sound.
