Good things come to those who wait. And every now and then, great things come to those who wait. Case in point is the epic, nearly nine-minute new single "Third of May / Ōdaigahara" by Fleet Foxes, who have officially returned to charm us once again, nearly six years since their last album Helplessness Blues was released. That’s a mighty long time to wait if you’re a fan of the band, but we’re here to report that your impatience for new music from Robin Pecknold and crew has been officially rewarded with this soaring beauty of a song.
The band has also announced that their long awaited third studio album entitled Crack-Up will surface via Nonesuch Records on June 16th. Additionally, they have announced the first series of international tour dates, with more surely to be confirmed soon.
