With just north of a month to go until Fleet Foxes return with their long-awaited third album, the band have served up another gorgeous sampling of what the new project entails. Arriving nearly two months after the sprawling lead single "Third of May / Ōdaigahara" surfaced, the shimmering “Fool’s Errand” finds frontman Robin Pecknold examining the disillusionment that invariably follows when dreams of finding and preserving love have been dashed. Directed by Pecknold’s brother Sean and Adi Goodrich, the accompanying video stars actress Jade-Lorna Sullivan.
In advance of the June 16th arrival of new album Crack-Up, Fleet Foxes will road-test their new songs on a five-city mini tour beginning this evening in Toronto and ending May 19th in their homebase of Seattle. The band then play a five-date stint (May 26-30) at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia, before hitting the road in Europe and returning to North America for a full run of shows.
