Artist: Del The Funky Homosapien + Amp Live
Song: “Wheel Of Fortune”
Album: Gate 13 (due in stores April 20th)
Pre-Order: Official Store
Upcoming Tour: Dates

For all of those lamenting the current soulless state of hip-hop and daydreaming about the good ol’ days of the golden age, we feel your pain. To an extent. While much of mainstream hip-hop admittedly leaves us feeling a bit hollow, we also know that plenty of inspiration and innovation still exists. You just need to know where to look (and listen).

Case in point: the latest collaboration between fellow Oakland, California natives and Bay Area hip-hop legends Del The Funky Homosapien and Amp Live. The Hieroglyphics crew’s elder statesman has joined creative forces with the Zion I and Unified Highway co-founder once again for their forthcoming album Gate 13, due in stores April 20th. And if the project’s first single “Wheel Of Fortune” is any indication, Gate 13 is destined to be one of the must-listen events of 2018. And the accompanying video is a must-watch event in and of itself.
